As an angel card reader, it may seem a little odd that I’m telling you that sometimes you should NOT get a reading done.

But I was told something by the angels the other day that really made me stop and think, and realize that sometimes another reading is not the right path. You’d think that getting information from as many sources as possible would be the right thing to do, but this is far from the reality of the situation.

Let me tell you how this came up, and you’ll see why this became so obvious . . .

I have a lot going on in my life right now. That isn’t new or anything, but I’m looking at new projects, books to write, and a move coming up. I’ll be moving to a new area that is a little more open to the kinds of ideas I have and principles I live by, and the Angels have started bringing up the idea of me opening a metaphysical storefront shop.

This isn’t a “new” idea per se, but in the past it was “Oh, wouldn’t that be neat.” But I never seriously considered it, because I would have to move, and shops are like small children – you can’t leave them alone. It’s a big responsibility.

But the big things right now are some of these new projects, and this move. I did a couple readings for myself and my husband, and they seemed VERY positive. The angels are talking about big changes, leaving behind things that no longer serve us, and that I have the ability and resources I need to make new projects and ideas into truly amazing realities.

As you can imagine, this is comforting, but as humans, we have a tendency to doubt. So I did another reading, and got the exact same message in different cards.

And then I thought about asking a friend for a reading, and immediately was blocked by my angels. I could feel them putting themselves between me and that path, and I was surprised. I know this friend is very accurate, and I have no doubt that she would be able to give me more clarity into my life.

But the angels said, “Don’t . . .”

I sat down and thought about this. I told them I absolutely trusted their guidance, but that I was curious why I shouldn’t have a third-party reading.

“What would it change?” they asked.

Good question. Events are already in motion – we’re moving, and I’ve already committed to seeing these projects through. At this point, I can’t turn around, and I don’t want to.

They also pointed out that my friend may not have the same guides as I do. This isn’t a bad thing, but there is the chance that signals might get crossed, and confusion may occur.

I’m at a point where I’m all-in spiritually speaking, and I am not going to change my path. I cannot afford to have confusion or doubt get tossed into the mix. And so they steered me away from getting a reading. I haven’t even done a reading for myself since this conversation.

So, sometimes getting another reading is pointless. If you’ve already gotten your solid answer (even if maybe it wasn’t the one you were hoping for,) or events are already in motion and you can’t afford to change them, then getting another reading is pointless. Plus, you need to trust your angels if they aren’t keen on you getting messages from another source.

If you ever feel hesitation when you’re thinking about getting a reading, take a while to explore that feeling. Maybe your angels are trying to tell you something.
